HISTORY, MISSION AND VALUES
In operation since 2003, Grandcare Home Health Services is a recognized leader in the provision of home nursing and rehabilitative care, and therapeutic services, including physical, speech and occupational therapies. Grandcare is accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO) and licensed by the Department of Public Health of California.
Grandcare Home Health Services is committed to excellence. Through experience we have tailored our services to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of home health care services. We hand pick our dedicated clinical team to ensure the patient receives professional, skilled, caring services. Our clinical supervisors are experienced registered nurses and are available seven days per week, 24 hours per day.
Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care in the communities that we serve, while promoting healthy living, independence, and educating patients and their families to care for themselves and each other.
Our values assert that our patients are the most important people in our business, and consequently, we ensure that patient care is our number one priority.
OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Our clinical management team consists of a dedicated staff with over 60 years of medical experience.
Nurmina (Mina) Banaag, BSN, RN, CRRN, Director of Rehabilitative Nursing Program – Ms. Banaag joined Grandcare in 2007 and has direct responsibility for the clinical staff and patient quality of care. Prior to joining Grandcare, Ms. Banaag was responsible for establishing other home health care and hospice agencies, and, held the position of Manager of the Acute In-Patient Rehabilitation Center at USC University Hospital. Ms. Banaag has 30 years of medical experience and is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse.
Ernesto Molina, RN, Director of Patient Care Services – Mr. Molina joined Grandcare in 2007 and has overall responsibility for patient care. Prior to joining Grandcare, Mr. Molina practiced medicine in the Phillipines. Mr. Molina holds a doctorate in medicine with a specialty in pulmonology. Mr. Molina has over 30 years of medical experience and is a registered nurse.
Our administrative management team supports patient care and our clinical team by providing efficient operations and business experience.
Sergio Varela, President and CFO – Mr. Varela joined Grandcare in May 2009 and is responsible for the administrative operations of Grandcare. Prior to joining Grandcare, Mr. Varela founded and presided over a global healthy foods company, focused on organic and natural fruits and fruit products. Mr. Varela is a Chartered Accountant and also serves as President of S.A.V. Healthcare Inc.
Jay Pamintuan, Administrator and Director, Public Relations – Mr. Pamintuan was one of the original founders of Grandcare. As the Administrator and Director of Public Relations, Mr. Pamintuan is responsible for the effectiveness of the company’s operations and for implementing and executing Grandcare's public relations and marketing plans. Prior to Grandcare, Mr. Pamintuan held positions in sales and marketing in the health care industry.
